I’m Caroline Lindqvist, a self-taught sculptor and eco-conscious artist, originally from southern Sweden and now based in south east London. I work primarily in cardboard, paper, and paper clay, drawn to materials that feel close to the natural world, and I’m currently working towards using more natural, non-synthetic materials across my practice. My work centres on feelings that are unresolved — creature-like figures that seem to have wandered out of some inner forest, holding a balance between restraint and strength without ever quite settling one way or the other. I think of each piece as an open question rather than a statement.
