I trained at Central St. Martins College of Art and Design. I work internationally across performance genre including Opera, Theatre, commercial and film. My work is layered, often saturated in colour and texture, set pieces are intended to be highly interactive and stand as characters in themselves. My costume drawings remain constant work in progress. They begin with a gesture or expression; the clothing details of silhouette, colour and material become clear once the character’s personality and physicality emerges. My scale models are a visual contract; a detailed working tool. The model carries on being a key part of the production process, helping to convey the concept to collaborators and facilitate rehearsals, by giving a clear idea of space and scale.
