This Cookie Policy explains how V22 Communities (trading as Calico Projects), registered charity number 1180229, uses cookies and similar technologies on calicoarts.com. It applies to visitors from the United Kingdom and is provided alongside our Privacy Policy.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by websites you visit. They are widely used to make websites work, to make them work more efficiently, and to provide information to the site’s owners. We also use similar technologies such as local storage and small scripts that perform comparable functions; in this policy we refer to all of them as “cookies” for simplicity.
2. How we use cookies
We use cookies in the following categories:
- Strictly necessary (functional) — required for the website to work, such as remembering your cookie preferences, keeping you logged in if you have an account, and (when our store is live) holding items in your shopping cart. These are set without consent because the website cannot function without them.
- Statistics — help us understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it. These are only set with your consent.
We do not currently use marketing or advertising cookies, and we do not allow third-party advertising networks to track you across other sites via this website.
3. Cookies set on this website

- Complianz (cookie consent management) — cookies starting with

Statistics cookies (consent required)
- Jetpack Stats (Automattic Inc.) — provides anonymised aggregate visitor statistics. Cookies include
tk_or,tk_lr,tk_r3d,__ssid, and related identifiers, retained for up to 12 months. Automattic is based in the United States; transfers are protected by the UK Extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. See automattic.com/privacy. - Sourcebuster JS — records how you arrived at the site (e.g. referring source). Cookies starting with
sbjs_are retained for up to 6 months.
4. Third-party links and embedded content
Our website contains links to social media platforms (such as Instagram). Following these links takes you to the relevant third-party website, which has its own privacy and cookie practices. We do not currently embed third-party content (such as YouTube videos, Google Maps, or Instagram posts) on our pages, so simply visiting our site does not place those services’ cookies on your device. If we add embedded content in future, this policy will be updated and consent will be requested where required.
5. Your consent and how to change it
When you first visit the site, we show a cookie banner explaining the cookies we use and asking for your consent for non-essential categories. You can accept all, accept only essential, or choose your preferences. You can change your preferences at any time by clicking the “Manage consent” link, usually shown in the corner of the page.
You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to refuse cookies, delete existing cookies, or be alerted when cookies are being placed. Please note that some parts of the website may not work properly if you block essential cookies.
6. Your rights
Where cookies involve the processing of personal data, you have the rights set out in our Privacy Policy, including the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, and to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time, for example when we add new services or change existing ones. The “last updated” date at the top of this page will reflect the latest revision.
